CSA and IIROC abandon further changes to trade transparency

The CSA and IIROC issued a notice yesterday summarizing comments in response to their March 2012 joint notice regarding disclosure and transparency measures related to short sales and failed trades. Ultimately, the notice states that, pursuant to reviewing the comments received, data on short sales and failed trades, as well as international developments, CSA and IIROC staff do not believe that additional measures are needed or desirable at the present time.
